EMYNOS project meets ETSI
EMYNOS project team organised the audio conference with the ETSI Specialist Task Force 489
On 15 December 2015, EMYNOS project team organised the audio conference with the ETSI Specialist Task Force 489 in order to exchange views on common topics and identify potential areas of collaboration.
STF489 is a team of experts with the mission to draft an ETSI standard related to total conversation for emergency communications. Total Conversation as defined by ITU-T is an audiovisual conversation providing bidirectional symmetric real-time transfer of motion video, text and voice between users in two or more locations. As such it can provide benefits for all, but offers particular benefits to hearing impaired persons by enabling communication also via sign language and real time text. The ultimate aim is to enable fulfilment of EU USD Article 26.4 – emergency service for all, anywhere in Europe, for texting, signing and talking users.
